Do you want to look your best and be your best?

Atlanta Medical Day Spa and Surgery Center has many options to help you achieve your goals. Our facility is equipped to offer laser resurfacing, chemical peels, micro dermabrasion, neuromodulators (such as Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport) and soft tissue augmentation (fat transfer or injectables).  Many times the combination of these elements provides the best outcome. One of our trained board-certified physicians, will examine your skin to decide what the best options are to achieve YOUR long-term goals. Here are some questions that you might be asking:

What type of lasers are best for my skin?

There are many types of lasers in the marketplace. The more popular ones for skin rejuvenation are the ones that change the texture, or the top layer, and stimulate the lower layers, that contain collagen and other important elements, to improve the overall appearance.

In our office, we offer over 15 lasers, so we have many choices at our fingertips. The laser resurfacing devices include the erbium-yag laser, the neodymium-yag laser, the radiofrequency laser, and the intense pulse light laser. Lasers are unique devices that when placed in the properly trained hands, can work magic on the skin. Recovery time varies from zero downtime, to a few days, up to a week.  Of course during your consultation and prior to any treatments, all of this will be discussed to your satisfaction.

Currently in our office, we operate the Sciton laser, Exilis Laser, Cynosure Laser, and the body device- The Smoothshapes Laser.

Many time modalities such as microdermabrasion’s and chemical peels are combined for more optimal results in facial rejuvenation.

Microdermabrasion involves using the Silk Peel device , which delivers hydration and other skin enhancement fluids to promote healthy new skin in the desired area. There is no down time when using the micro dermabrasions and we have been rated the best in Atlanta for this service.   Your skin care professional will also advise if a chemical peel would enhance the desired results. Chemical peels involves applying very specific solutions to the skin in order to promote certain properties. Such as if the patient has or struggles with acne lesions, certain chemicals such as salicylic acid can improve the appearance as well as, prevent new breakouts.  For simple facial rejuvenation the alphahydroxy acids, or glycolic acid, are a popular choice for most skin types. The medical board in Georgia determined that all chemical peels should be applied in a physician’s office, as they do consider this a medical procedure.

Depending upon your unique skin type and your desire goals, the neuromodulators and the soft tissue augmentation devices will elevate, position and diminish those unwanted facial attributes while, enhancing those attributes that may have diminished due to the aging process.

Are there any side effects from the treatments?

Of course, in the wrong hands, unlikely here at Atlanta Medical Day Spa and Surgery Center, there is the risk of burning, scarring, pigmentation changes, virus outbreaks, infections from bacteria and other uncommon adverse reactions while operating the laser devices. We are very proud of our track record of 10 years in the business and our high patient satisfaction rate. Dr. John Frodel and Dr. Debra Atkins performed most of the laser treatments and have been trained to ensure that the execution of the treatment is exact.

Side effects of chemical peels include the temporary or permanent skin color changes, scarring, and the unlikely event of a virus or bacterial outbreak.  Our team is highly trained to ensure that all chemicals placed on the skin is the right type for your skin. Once again, we are very proud of our track record of 10 years in this industry and our high patient satisfaction rate. Dr. John Frodel and Dr. Debra Atkins perform the more aggressive treatments and serve as trainers, www.physicianaesthestics.com, to ensure our industry remains safe.

Which procedure has little to no negative side effects?

Of course that would be the microdermabrasion by Silk Peel in our highly trained skin care professionals.

What can I expect after the procedure?

There is the possibility that it will require no down time. There is the possibility that it could be a long weekend. There is a possibility that it could be up to a week. All of this will be discussed in detail at your consultation and all treatments will revolve around your schedule and your desired outcomes.  You should expect an experience great results!
